Computer Association of Nepal, the national apex body of Information and Communication Technology ( ICT) sector in Nepal organized "CAN Softech-2008" (2nd National level Software solution Services & BPO Expo) from June 18-21, 2008 at United World Trade Centre, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu,
Even though there were strikes due to different political reasons in the valley during the event days but the flow of visitors during the expo was appreciating. The expo provided a forum for latest software technological display, created awareness about Software applications and its use in day to day life, as well as helped to promote Nepali ICT sector around the world.
The specialties of the program were to disseminate and trade of Nepali Software and branded international software product and person to person business meet during the event through different Software companies.
During the software expo, Sectoral member of CAN (ITS Nepal) organized "South Asian Students and Youth Professional ICT Conference 2008 from 21-22 June, 2008. FIT Nepal, another Sectoral member of CAN, organized “SWABHIMAAN 2065” Conference from 19-20th June, 2008.
CAN Softech have become a great opportunity to promote and expand business in this continent as well as it helped in uplifting the ICT sector of Nepal.
