On 18th of July, a briefing program was organized at Hotel Annapurna by FNCCI for the buildup process of the upcoming "SEMSA -South Europe meets South Asia 2009" Matchmaking Event. The event is going to be held in Srilanka from 27-28, February, 2009.
It's a technological and business matchmaking event for SME's in the IT & IT enabled services. The briefing was basically for the IT companies where FNCCI in collaboration with CAN will be selecting 15 IT companies for the SEMSA matchmaking event. The most suitable south Asian companies will be selected thru evaluation process since it is expected to attract around 120 Asian companies to meet with 60 South European companies on the event. During the event, the selected participant will be provided to display the sample of products and catalogues. Some incentive will be provided to cover the cost of airfare and hotel accommodation to the selected parties to attend matchmaking event in Srilanka. SEMSA is a technological matchmaking project co-funded by the European Commission (EC) under the Asia Invest Program II.
