Live Video Conferencing with CAN-USA in San Francisco
Computer Association of Nepal organized live video conference with CAN-USA in San Francisco on 11th April, 2009. The video conference was done for Transfer of Knowledge “TofK” on Cloud Computing.
The video conference was a continuation of CAN-USA’s transfer of knowledge initiative to Nepal on the topic of “An introduction to cloud computing”. The video conference explored the current buzzwords, technology and went thru some of the case studies on companies using cloud computing. The session went thru the various aspects of cloud computing with some live examples on popular services like EC2, S3 and AppEngine.
This live video conference was done at Prime College Premises, Nayabazzar, Kathmandu where there were 30 participants who benefited from the “Transfer of Knowledge Initiative”. During the video conference, several queries were made from the participants to experts of CAN-USA regarding cloud computing.
Similarly on 25th April 2009, the continuation of cloud computing was done at the same venue where there were major participation from IT student background. Computer Association of Nepal will be organizing the live video conference on a regular basis with CAN-USA for the transfer of Knowledge initiative.
